RMO Margarita Sugar Scrub Recipe

Happy Cinco de Mayo weekend! Cinco de Mayo commemorates the important victory of the Mexican army over the French in the late 1800s. In the US, it has also become a celebration of Mexican culture and heritage. This weekend there will be many fiestas all over, so why not throw a party for your skin! This easy DIY Margarita Sugar Scrub will renew and refresh your skin while the aroma transports you to drinks on the beach.

Margarita Sugar Scrub

Ingredients½ cup cane sugar

2 tbsp fractionated coconut oil (FCO)

8 drops Lime essential oil

Zest of 1 small lime

Green and yellow food coloring (optional)

Method:

In a small bowl, combine coconut oil and cane sugar. Add lime zest and lime essential oil, and mix well. If desired: add 1 drop yellow food coloring and 2 drops green food coloring, and mix. Store in an airtight container, and enjoy soft and smooth skin!
